When it comes to BBQ Shrimp recipes, every shrimp lover must add this recipe to  the list. I love shrimp and BBQ when you combine these two together it makes things in life much better.

I’m going to show you how to whip together a great BBQ shrimp Marinade recipe and if your looking to try a tastier shrimp, then you are going to love the Cajun Shrimp Marinade. These two recipes are a sold knock out punch for sure to help with in making the New Orleans BBQ shrimp recipe around with the classic mouth watering BBQ shrimp Recipe .

BBQ shrimp marinade recipe

what you will need is:

2 pounds LARGE shrimp, uncooked, pull the skin/tails off
1 finely chopped onion
1 cup olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano

1/4 cup Maple Syrup

Optionally a pound-o-bacon

Your favorite BBQ sauce

Start By Combining all of these ingredients together except for the Pound of bacon. After mixing place it into the fridge and let in sit over night this will allow the BBQ shrimp marinade to take affect and thicken the sauce.

Next take out the marinade and allow the sauce to loosen up some.  Now your marinade is set let’s get the grill ready and get the  shrimp skewered!

Wrap your BBQ Shrimp with the pound o bacon till its fully covered  make sure that the marinade is not dripping too much over the grill could cause too much smoke and scorching of the shrimp.  allow it to cook for about 10 minutes  on each side and serve it over rice. Dinner is served.

 

cajun bbq shrimp recipe:

For you Spicy fans you will need:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Juice of 1 lemon
2 pounds large unpeeled shrimp
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
3 lemons, quartered

Start by melting the butter and oil to the frying pan, allow it to spread over the pan first over a medium heat. Turn down the heat and add the garlic, basil, oregano, cayenne, and lemon juice.  You can  allow it to cook for approximately 3 to 5 minutes, or until the garlic is softened.

Now add the Cajun BBQ Shrimp to the frying pan as you turn down the heat to medium and allow it to cook till the shells turns pink  and meat is an opaque, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve with lemon quarters on the side.

 

New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Recipe

This is my favorite dish

You will need:

1/2 pound butter (2 sticks), cubed small
1 dozen jumbo shrimp (heads on, tails on)
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1 teaspoon Creole seasoning (unsalted)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, juiced
4 oz beer (fresh from bottle)
1 teaspoon Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

Start by melting the butter in the pan

Next  the Season shrimp with Creole seasoning and black pepper. Sauté over high heat on each side.

Add lemon juice, thyme, Rosemary, Worcestershire sauce, and beer. (your Choice)

Reduce sauce over high heat for 30 seconds, reduce heat, cover and steam for 2 minutes.

Swirl in remaining butter and parsley, keeping pan in motion so that the sauce doesn’t break.
